Its very cute and quiet. Safe place and the caretakers are incredibly sweet and helpful. Great to pick fruit for breakfast: mangos, coconut, avacado, oranges, grapefruit, bananas, lemons, limes, and macadamia nuts.
Best value on the island! High points: Tony the owner is awesome and very accommodating , pick your own fresh fruit and nuts from his orchard in season, not on the beach but 5 - 10 minute drive to two amazing secluded beaches: Donkey and Larsen, nicely furnished but basic cottages at an awesome price! Few low points: mattress in our cottage seemed old and lacked support and some highway noise when the windows are open.
We enjoyed being a bit off the beaten path on our vacation to Kauai. The beautiful orchards were a nice backdrop to our little cottage. And, the fresh macadamia nuts and fruit breads provided by our hosts were delicious! There's a hot tub there for all the guests to share, but we had it all to ourselves when we arrived.
Tony was great and easy. Free use of their snorkel and fins, beach chairs and reef shoes. Also DVDs and books in the room. Spa looked great even though we didn't try it, others did. Rooms are quaint and have some cooking equipment. Improvements: a kettle would have been great to make tea, some instructions for the coffee machine, the fire alarm would scream at us when the steam from the shower came out of the bathroom. These are finicky things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.
We had a great stay! The owners are super friendly and accommodating. You cannot find a better deal on the island. It was so comfortable, we meant to stay 4 nights but we stayed a week. It felt like home, we are going to miss it!
