I've now stayed several times at one of the Hanalei-based houses managed by Kauai Island Vacation Rentals. In an Airbnb world, where we expect things to be good, Holly and Don Lazo are great. The properties are carefully chosen, in perfect order, and immaculate. No detail is overlooked. We have used a cook once, but mostly they respect our desire to be left alone--it's up to you. I like predictable and quality, and this beats the pants off the Princeville hotels and condos.
North Shore of Kauai is paradise. Hanalei Bay is breathtaking. It’s remarkable to have the kind of sheer beauty one would think of in more far flung places like Bali or Fiji, right here in the U.S. with relatively easy travel. Lush green mountains and waterfalls and beautiful white sand beaches.
Very glad I found Kauai Island Vacations. They have curated some very yummy houses. The home we stayed in was spacious, generous and gorgeous. The location was perfect. I will never go back to staying at a hotel. As laid back as life is on the island, their service is gracious and professional. We really appreciated the concierge service. Cannot wait to go back!
